About This Project
¶ 1 Leave a comment on paragraph 1 1 Digital Humanities Keywords is a project of the Digital Humanities Caucus of the American Studies Association, but grows out of the multiple conversations within the broader digital humanities community across many venues: conferences and organizations, workshops, THATCamps, publications, individual and collaborative projects, and Twitter. It is offered to the entire digital humanities community with no particular emphasis on American Studies intended.
¶ 2 Leave a comment on paragraph 2 7 The project is inspired by Raymond Williams’ Keywords: A Vocabulary of Culture and Society (1975; Oxford University Press: 1985) (see Keywords and Keywords) and by multiple projects that have worked to apply his keywords concept to specific domains of culture or scholarship (see Resources).
¶ 3 Leave a comment on paragraph 3 1 Participant authors are invited to write keyword essays and post them here for the consideration of, and discussion by, the larger community.
¶ 4 Leave a comment on paragraph 4 2 The DH Keywords project also takes advantage of CommentPress Core, a WordPress plugin that allows online readers to become active participants in shaping content by leaving comments on specific paragraphs of a text.
¶ 5 Leave a comment on paragraph 5 2 Please see How to Participate to learn about getting involved in the project.
